With awards for Best Jazz Group, Best Jazz Vocals, and Best Jazz Recording and Top 10 charting albums, Veronneau have captivated audiences in sprawling festivals, concert halls and jazz clubs, and toured through North America and Europe. Veronneau’s repertoire, performed in English, French, Portuguese and Spanish, includes samba, bossa nova, swing, Brazilian jazz and French chanson standards blended with their own original compositions.
French Canadian vocalist Lynn Veronneau lights up the stage with her engaging presence and moving interpretations. Driving acoustic guitar frames her voice and provide the rhythmic energy to propel each performance. Currently based in Washington, DC, Veronneau draw capacity crowds at major venues such as Blues Alley, Strathmore Main Hall, and the Kennedy Center Millenium Stage. They’ve participated in the DC Jazz Festival and Takoma Park Jazz Festivals in addition to the UK’s Beat Herder festival.
Veronneau's album releases Joie de Vivre, Jazz Samba Project and Love & Surrender featured in the US top 10 charts for World and Jazz music and have gone on to be successful internet radio hits. This multi-talented group have also developed and presented a two week Brazilian music festival, documentary movie and theatrical play building on the release of their Jazz Samba Project CD which celebrated the 1962 Stan Getz and Charlie Byrd album of the same name.
