Soul, jazz, blues, and acoustic music traditions shine through when UK guitarist, singer songwriter Ken Avis performs solo, away from his role as co-founder of the multi award-winning band VERONNEAU, 

His sound is forged from years performing in the UK, France and Switzerland where he held vocal duties with prominent bands like Otis Grand & The Dance Kings, and from 15 years and 7 albums with VERONNEAU who's multilingual albums of classic and original songs have featured in the Jazz, World and Folk Top 10 charts in the US. 

Ken's songs have earned awards and finalist positions in the Mid Atlantic and South Florida Song Contests. He has been a recipient of the Emergent Spark performance award, and was invited to participate in the Acoustic Guitar Project. His songs have featured in film projects.  

A master story-teller, Ken is a music historian who's Music City lectures for Smithsonian, American and George Mason Universities, and others are well appreciated and highly attended. He has also been a featured Ted X speaker, and leads guitar and professional development workshops for musicians. In 2026 Ken recieved the Washington Area Songwriters Association "Directors Award" for his support of musicians and the regional music scene.
