VERONNEAU

In songs and stories, the award-winning duo led be Quebecoise vocalist Lynn Veronneau, take us back to 1971 to celebrate the groundbreaking albums "Blue" and "Tapestry". Two albums which put women front and center as composers and performers, and heralded the singer-songwriter movement of the 1970's.

This celebrated performance has sold out back to back runs at Strathmore and Blues Alley, and has been performed on tour by Veronneau in the US, Canada and Europe.

Award-winning VERONNEAU return to Hill Center following last year’s sold-out, audience-favorite, Blue Tapestry – Joni Mitchell & Carole King celebration.

From Paris to Rio & Beyond blends soulful French, American & Brazilian repertoire and a touch of bluesy originals. In songs and stories, vocalist Lynn Veronneau & guitarist Ken Avis travel in time through tempos rich and mellow, swing and samba. Often described as “a mini Pink Martini” VERONNEAU’s multilingual show is captivating, engaging and exquisitely performed. With special guests including UK violin virtuoso Dave Kline.

VERONNEAU's irresistible show is a musical passport filled with surprises, stories, and swing. Discover beloved songs you never knew were born in France—and French classics you’d never imagine crossed the Atlantic from America. This joyful, bilingual journey celebrates the rich musical conversation between two cultures. Featuring timeless favorites such as La Vie en Rose, Autumn Leaves, Je Ne Regret Rien, Beyond the Sea, and even Pink Martini’s Sympathique, the program weaves together romance, nostalgia, and playful charm.

Drawing from the golden age of French chanson, VERONNEAU shines a spotlight on the music of legends like Edith Piaf, Charles Aznavour, Charles Trenet, and the incomparable Django Reinhardt. With French flair, Latin rhythms, and irresistible swing, The Great French-American Songbook is a delightful celebration of music without borders—sophisticated, surprising, and endlessly fun.
